Comments

Comment (Reserve-Resource): ANY REMAINING ORE LIKELY TO BE LOW GRADE AND AT A DEPTH OF 100 TO 200 M

Comment (Commodity): GOLD DISSEMINATED IN PYRITE AND LIMONITE

Comment (Location): UTM LOCATION OF MINNIE PALMER STOPE

Comment (Production): 1916-1942 PRODUCTION ESTIMATED FROM DISTRICT PRODUCTION , MOST PRODUCTION CAME FROM STOPE W. OF OLD SHAFT.

Comment (Geology): VEINS ARE WITHIN 50 M OF EDGE OF GRANODIORITE STOCK AND ARE APPROXIMATELY PARALLEL WITH THE GRANODIORITE - LIMESTONE CONTACT. LIMESTONE BELONGS TO HASMARK FM.

Comment (Deposit): THE NANCY HANKS VEIN SYSTEM IS THE NORTHERNMOST OF THREE VEIN SYSTEMS IN THE FIRST CHANCE DISTRICT. ON THIS COMPOSITE VEIN ARE THE SHAMROCK, DEWEY, NANCY HANKS, AND CASCADE MINES, NAMED IN ORDER FROM EAST TO WEST. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT

Comment (Deposit): "RED ORE" SHOOT PRODUCED AT LEAST 50% OF THE TOTAL PRODUCTION. A TABULAR BODY 165 FT LONG, AND FROM 1-3 FT THICK, PINCHING OUT SLIGHTLY W. IT IS W OF OLD SHAFT. INDIVIDUAL VEINS IN THIS ZONE, WHICH IS ABOUT 2000 M LONG, RARELY PERSIST IN LENGTH OR DEPTH FOR MORE THAN 50 M.

Comment (Workings): 2 SHAFTS, NANCY HANKS "OLD SHAFT" AND THE MINNIE PALMER SHAFT.

Comment (Location): Political location in record is Granite county. The MRDS location-problem GIS test indicated the lat/long fell in adjacent Missoula county. However, topo sheet, Google Earth, and the County100 coverage plot it 740 meters inside Granite county. No change is necessary.
