Comment (Deposit): BORDER OF PHILIPSBURG BATHOLITH PASSES THROUGH CLAIM, A FISSURE WHICH PARALLELS THE RED LION VEIN. AN ALTERED ZONE ON THE MODOC CLAIM IS 30-75 FT WIDE, STRIKES N 40 E AND IS EXPOSED IN SEVERAL PLACES FOR A DISTANCE OF SEVERAL HUNDRED FT.

Comment (Workings): MAY BE ON EXTENSION OF RED LION VEIN. CROSSCUT DRIVEN FROM WARM SPRING CREEK WESTWARD TO REACH ORE IN DEPTH BUT WAS INACCESSIBLE IN 1906 SEVERAL SHALLOW SHAFTS, SHORT TUNNELS, TRENCHES

Comment (Geology): COARSE GRANODIORITE OF PHILIPSBURG BATHOLITH IN CONTACT WITH STRONGLY ALTERED LIMESTONE. GRANODIORITE NEAR CONTACT CONTAINS CALCITE.
