MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Deposit): RADIOACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH TRAVERTINE AND CALICHE
Comment (Geology): Deposit probably located close to the Cotopaxi Fault. Shaft located 100 ft west of contact with Proterozoic rocks (Lindgren, 1908). Near the 250 ft shaft, rsediments dip steeply. The shales "turn into" reddish-brown limestone at the shaft. Copper stains are most prevalent in a bed of quartzitic rock (Harding Quartzite?).
Comment (Location): BETWEEN BEAVER CREEK SCHOOL AND BRUSH HOLLOW CREEK ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1976)
Comment (Location): Lindgren (1908) stated that the deposit is located 1000 ft east of Red Creek and 150 ft above it, at the abandoned settlement of Copperfield. Copperfield had a post office at one time, but is not shown on any modern maps.
Comment (Production): Production probably small.
Comment (Workings): SHAFT ON HILL 150 FT ABOVE CREEK
