MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Location): ON THE WEST SLOPE OF EAGLE PEAK IN THE MT RAINIER AREA.
Comment (Production): PRODUCED 100 TONS IN 1919; ALSO PRODUCED IN 1925 AND 1928, BUT TOTAL PRODUCTION DOES NOT EXCEED 200 TONS. AN 18-TON SHIPMENT YIELDED 8.05% CU AND 0.09 OZ/TON AU. REPORTED 1% TO 5% CO IN SOME SAMPLES (HUNTTING, 1956, P. 61).
Comment (Geology): MINERALIZATION OCCURS IN GRANITE (HUNTTING, 1956, P. 61) AND WOULD APPEAR TO BE IN DIKES EMANATING FROM THE TATOOSH PLUTON (SCHASSE, 1987, P. 29).
