Comments

Comment (Location): IN VIEW OF DISTANCE OF DEPOSITS FROM POSSIBLE PORTS OF SHIPMENT, SURIMAM GEOLOGICAL AND MINING SERVICE BELIEVES THE EXISTENCE OF LARGE RESOURCES (OF THE ORDER OF 150-200 MILLION TONS) WOULD HAVE TO BE PROVED BEFORE ANY LARGE PROJECT COULD BE EMBARKED UPON, EVEN ONE YIELDING AN ANNUAL ORE PRODUCTION OF 5 MILLION TONS. SUCH A TONNAGE ADDED TO GROWING EXPORTS OF BAUXITE AND ALUMINA WOULD JUSTIFY IMPROVING PORT FACILITIES TO ACCOMMODATE LARGE VESSELS.

Comment (Geology): TWO SMALL OUTCROPS OF METASEDIMENTS (ITABIRITES, QUARTZITES & SILICEOUS MICA SCHISTS AT TOP OF TAPAJE SERIES); ITABIRITES OCCUR ON TOP OF HILL WHERE THEY ARE COVERED BY HIGHLY FERRUGINOUS LATERITES (CANGA). EXTENSIVE GRANITE AREAS BORDER OUTCROPS.

Comment (Location): NE OF THE DAY PROPERTIES. ADJOINS IDAHO-MONTANA SILVER, INC. PROPERTY ON THE S. PROPERTY PARALLELS IDAHO-MONTANA BORDER

Comment (Development): 202 CLAIMS (UNPATENTED) ( 84 CLAIMS FROM THE EASTERN STAR ). PROPERTY EXTENDS INTO T 48 N, R 6 E, SECS 5 , 20 ; T 48 N, R 5 E, SECS 1 , 2 , 12 , 13 ; T 49 N, R 5 E, SECS 35 , 36

Comment (Deposit): THIS PROPERTY INCLUDES ARLINGTON AND DILLON, PART OF THE EASTERN STAR MIN. CO., LOCATED 5 MI NE OF BURKE; PROPERTY ALSO INCLUDES TEMPLE GROUP ( 5 PATENTED CLAIMS ) IN WHICH CALLAHAN CONSOLIDATED HAS 5 % INTEREST.

Comment (Commodity): CANGA LAYER IS OFTEN HIGHLY FERRUGINOUS AND LOW IN IMPURITIES. WHERE AVERAGE FE CONTENT IS 61 PERCENT, SILICA AND ALUMINA ACCOUNT TOGETHER FOR 5 TO 6 PERCENT, TIO2 FOR 0.3 PERCENT, PHOSPHORUS FOR 0.12 PERCENT, SULPHUR FOR 0.05 PERCENT, AND MANGANESE FOR 0.11 PERCENT.
