Comment (Location): ON NORTH SIDE OF RITO ALTO CR. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1976
Comment (Deposit): 2-FT-WIDE VEIN OF COARSELY CRYSTALLINE FLOURSPAR TRENDS N15W, 75 SW AND IS COMPOSED OF 60% FLUORITE, 40% QUARTZITE AND CHERT BRECCIA FRAGMENTS; LOCAL POCKETS OF PSILOMELANE, OTHER MN OXIDES, AND BOXWORK QUARTZ. THIS DESCRIPTION AND GEOLOGIC MAP SUGGEST THAT VEIN OCCURS IN ORDOVICIAN HARDING SANDSTONE THAT BECAUSE OF LOCAL FAULTING AHS BECOME AN ORTHOQUARTZITE.
