BEGAN SHAFT SINKING AND UNDERGROUND DEVELOPMENT NOV. 1968. BY JULY 1979 HAD DRILLED 189,000 FT ROTARY AND DIAMOND DRILL HOLES AND DEVELOPED 79,000 FT SHAFTS, DRIFTS, AND CROSS-CUTS. UNDERGROUND DEVELOPMENT SUSPENDED 1982 AND WORKINGS ALLOWED TO FLOOD IN AUG. 1984. BY 1991 DRILLING AND DEVELOPMENT WORK HAD RESUMED.
