Comments
Comment (Location): ALONG YAMPA RIVER AND ALONG WILLIAMS FORK JUST ABOVE ITS CONFLUENCE WITH YAMPA R. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1974)
Comment (Deposit): DEPOSIT AT MOST LIKELY PLACER SITE (SEC. 31) IS LOW GRAVEL TERRACE ON WEST SIDE OF AND UP TO 40 FT ABOVE STREAM LEVEL; SEC. 30 SITE IS ON SIMILAR TERRACE BUT ON YAMPA RIVER. SEC. 6 SITE COULD BE OLDER TERRACE REMNANT 200 FT ABOVE STREAM LEVEL. ORIGINAL SOURCE FOR AU IN WILLIAMS FORK DEPOSITS (SECS. 6, 31) WOULD BE WHITE RIVER UPLIFT; FOR THAT IN SEC. 30 SOURCE WOULD BE PARK RANGE AND ELKHEAD MTNS.
