Comments
Comment (Location): INFO FROM LAND.ST :1968
Comment (Development): IN 1890'S BILLY FRAN, WALTER WOODS AND BILL BUCHANAN OWNED AND OPERATED IT. THE ORE BEARING ROCK WAS MILLED IN AN ARASTA LOCATED ON CHICKEN CREEK, AND GOLD WAS COLLECTED BY AMALGAMATION. 1906 MR. HANSMIER ERECTED A 5-STAMP MILL ON CHICKEN CREEK.
Comment (Deposit): HIGH GRADE ORE NEAR THE SURFACE IN THE VEIN. ON THE CONTACT BETWEEN THE QUARTZ MONZONITE AND THE ARGILLITE THE VEIN AVERAGED 10 IN WIDE.
Comment (Workings): INCLINED SHAFT, 3 DRIFTS (CAVED); TUNNEL WAS DRIVEN IN FROM CHICKEN CREEK IT WAS 3000 FT LONG BUT DIDN'T INTERSECT THE QUARTZ MONZONITE.
