Comment (Location): DISTRICT LIES SOUTH OF CACHE LA POUDRE RIVER IN RUGH RANCH AREA AND IS ACCESSIBLE BY HIGHWAY 14 UP POUDRE CANYON AND ROAD TO RUGH RANCH UP SHEEP CREEK, AND BY CROWN POINT ROAD UP BENNETT CREEK. DISTRICT INCLUDES PARTS OF SHEEP CREEK, SHEEP GULCH, CROWN POINT GULCH, AND MINERAL SPRINGS GULCH AND EXTENDS ONTO KINIKINIK QUAD. ELEV AND LAT-LONG GIVEN ARE FOR RUGH RANCH IN NE SEC. 01, T8N, R74W. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1980)

Comment (Development): AREA HAS BEEN EXPLORED BUT APPARENTLY NO PAYABLE QUANTITIES OF BASE AND PRECIOUS METALS WERE DISCOVERED. ONLY SMALL AMOUNT OF U PRODUCED.

Comment (Deposit): DOMINANT TREND OF METAMORPHIC FOLIATION IS NE TO ENE WITH STEEP TO VERTICAL DIPS. BE-BEARING AND METALLIFEROUS PEGMATITES ALSO TREND NE. LACK OF VISIBLE SULFIDES OR PRIMARY U MINERALS SUGGESTS BASE METALS ARE MAINLY DISSEMINATED THROUGH FE-STAINED VEINS IN SHEAR ZONES OR WORKINGS ONLY PENETRATED UPPER OXIDIZED OR LEACHED ZONE. ZONE OF POSSIBLE SECONDARY ENRICHMENT MAY EXTEND TO AS DEEP AS 100 FT BELOW SURFACE. HIGHER GRADE ORE APPEARS TO BE LOCALIZED AT INTERSECTIONS OR AT POINTS OF DIVERGENCE OF BRANCH VEINS.

Comment (Workings): OPEN CUTS; MOSTLY SHORT ADITS AND SHALLOW SHAFTS.
