Comment (Deposit): THE DELKER DISTRICT, LOCATED ON THE NW SIDE OF DELKER HILL (WEST BUTTE) (FRANKLIN BUTTES), WAS DISCOVERED IN 1894, AFTER YEARS OF ANNUAL PROSPECTING THE DELKER MINE BEGAN SHIPPING COPPER ORE IN 1916 AND 1917, WITH CORRIE THE SHIPPING POINT ON THE NEVADA NORTHERN RAILROAD 25 MILE TO THE SE. A 50 FT INCLINE SHAFT IS SUNK ON THE CONTACT OF THE QUARTZ MONZONITE AND LIMESTONES AND INTERBEDDED QUARTZITES. LIME SILICATES ARE DEVELOPED IN PLACES ON THE CONTACT WITH COPPER CARBONATES ORES ASSOCIATED WITH THEM. OTHER COPPER MINERALS PRESENT ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
