Comment (Workings): Workings include at least 2 haulage adits, plus numerous crosscuts raises, shafts, and drifts on 15 levels.
Comment (Geology): The Stevens is a fissure vein that strikes north to NW and dips to the east; several parallel veins and a crosscutting vein are also present.
Comment (Location): Adit in Stevens Gulch on the west side of McClellan Mountain, in the SE/4 sec. 33, T 4 S, R 75 W, about 4 miles SW of Silver Plume.
Comment (Production): Incomplete production records show that between 1870 and 1911, the mine produced at least 4,800,000 lb of lead, more than 100,000 oz silver, and 250 oz gold. More recently, a company produced gold-bearing pyrite for samples of gold ore.
Comment (Reserve-Resource): Old reports that may be outdated describe stope fill and dump resources.
