Comment (Location): Little Mattie shaft is in SE/4 sec. 4, T 4 S, R 73 W, about 2-1/2 miles WSW of Idaho Springs.
Comment (Production): Gold and silver was produced from 1887 to 1892. From 1902 to 1951, gold production was 47,141.43 oz, silver was 361,996 oz, copper was 13,924 lb, lead was 264,725 lb, and zinc was 288,906 lb, from 188,652 tons of ore.
Comment (Production): Ore was produced from 17 levels over a range of 1700 feet elevation.
Comment (Reserve-Resource): Report dated 1981, potentially 660,000 tons of ore at 0.31 opt Au and 2.4 opt Ag.
Comment (Workings): The workings of the Little Mattie-Newton group include several shafts and 5 miles of drifts on 17 levels.
