Comment (Geology): HOSTED IN CALAVERAS SERIES - L. ; GEOL.DESC: MANGANESE OXIDES MIXED WITH WHITE CHERT AND CUT BY QUARTZ VEINS, AND ENCLOSED IN SERICITE SCHIST OF THE CALAVERAS FORMATION. AVERAGE STRIKE IS N 15 W, AND DIPS 80 E. ORE MATERIAL IS PSILOMELANE AND PYROLUSITE. RHODONITE FLOAT IS PRESENT.

Comment (Production): THREE CARLOADS MINED AND SHIPPED IN 1915 AND 1916. TOTAL PRODUCTION BETWEEN 150 AND 999 TONS. SOME ORE WAS HAULED TO THE METALS RESERVE DEPOT DURING THE EARLY PART OF 1943, BUT THE MINIMUM SHIPMENT OF 10 TENS HAD NOT BEEN COMPLETED 2/16/43.

Comment (Location): 3 CLAIMS ARE CALLED MIDWAY, NEGRO HEAVEN AND BLUEBIRD, AND PROBABLY INCLUDE SAME PROSPECT AS BARTHOLF AND VEACH MINE OF W.W.I, AND BLACK LEDGE OF W.W.I. PROBABLY IN SW 1/4 SECTION 12
