Comment (Deposit): INFORMATION FROM DMEA REPORT, DOCKET NO. 1938, DATED 1951. A TIME OF THE REPORT THE ONLY URANIUM PRODUCTION FROM THE MINE WAS THEN CONTROLLED BY ANACONDA LEAD AND SILVER CO., NEV., H A STOCKPILED TON OF UNDETERMINED GRADE. THE CLAIMS ARE IN SE T. 5 S., R. 84 W., AND SECS. 30 AND 31, T. 5 S., R. 83 W., 6 AND ARE ON THE 7-1/2 MINUTE MAPS, FULFORD, AND THE SEVEN HER AN EARLY COPPER AND SILVER PRODUCER WITH DEVELOPED MINE WORK AT THE TIME OF THE REPORT THE WORKINGS HAD FALLEN INTO BAD R INCLUDED IN THE DMEA REPORT ARE LOCATION AND MINE MAPS. THE ORE DEPOT IS AT RIFLE, ABOUT 60 MILES DISTANT. THE DMEA REPO CLUDED THAT ASSISTANCE WOULD BE JUSTIFIED FOR A LIMITED EXPL PROGRAM. IT WAS ESTIMATED THAT THE STOCKPILED TON WOULD AVERAGE ABOUT 1.3% U308. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IN BACKUP FILE.
