IRON STAINING EMANATING FROM ADIT #1 INDICATED PAST DISCHARGE, ALTHOUGH NO DISCHARGE WAS OCCURRING AT THE TIME OF THE INVESTIGATION. BISHOP CREEK, A TRIBUTARY OF HIGH ORE CREEK, FLOWED ADJACENT TO THE SITE. OBSERVED RELEASES TO BISHOP CREEK (SEDIMENT) WERE DOCUMENTED FOR COPPER, LEAD, AND ZINC. NO MAXIMUM CONTAMINANT LEVELS WERE EXCEEDED THAT WERE DIRECTLY ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE SITE.
