Comment (Geology): Four subparallel NE-trending fissure veins comprise the group: the Elliot and Barber, Josephine, South Lincoln, and Lincoln (from SE to NW).
Comment (Location): Mine is in NW/4 sec. 34, T 3 S, R 73 W, on the south side of Clear Creek about 1-1/4 mile west of Idaho Springs.
Comment (Deposit): INFORMATION FROM PRR 1673 RADIOACTIVITY 10XBG MINE HAS LONG HISTORY OF PRODUCTION AND SEVERAL MILES OF WOR MINE IS (?CURRENTLY) USED AS A "RANDON GAS MINE" AREA IS LOCATED ON THE 7-1/2 MINUTE MAP, CENTRAL CITY.
Comment (Production): Extensive stopes and early reports indicate substantial but unknown production before 1900. Production records show limited production for several years from1904 to 1927 and continuous production from 1932 to 1943: gold - 35,669 oz, silver - 152,124 oz, copper - 397,098 lb, lead - 1,974,091 lb, zinc - 44,427 lb.
Comment (Commodity): Production records indicate that the main value was in gold, with lesser values of silver, lead, copper, and zinc. Uranium minerals were found in the mine; no ore was produced, but for a time the mine was advertized for its reputed health qualities.
