Comments

Comment (Deposit): SEVERAL WORKINGS IN THIS AREA ARE REFERRED TO AS THE COBRE GRANDE MINE. THE COWBOY TUNNEL HAD A SMALL AMOUNT OF COPPER PRODUCTION. MINERALS OCCUR IN IRREGULAR REPLACEMENT ZONES IN LIMESTONE, CHALCOPYRITE, CHALCOCITE, CHALCANTHITE, HEMATITE, PYRITE. ABOUT 600 FT SOUTHEAST OF THE COWBOY TUNNEL IS AN ADIT CAVED AT 205 FT, REPORTED TO BE OVER 700 FT LONG, MOSTLY BARREN ALTERED ROCK. A NEARBY PIT EXPOSES A SKARN ZONE.
