Comments

Comment (Deposit): ELKHORN-BEAVERHEAD (OLD ELKHORN) WAS FIRST DISCOVERED IN ELKHORN DISTRICT. THROUGH EVOLUTION IT BECAME PART OF THE BOSTON MONTANA GROUP 030010565. SOURCE OF INFORMATION IN GEOMETRY TABLE IS NOT KNOWN. THIS FILE HAD MISINFORMATION RELATED TO 0300130035 IN IT WHICH I REMOVED (CAUSEY).

Comment (Environmental Factors): THERE WAS ONE OPEN ADIT WITH A DISCHARGE ESTIMATED AT 150 GPM. THE MAXIMUM CONTAMINANT LEVEL WAS EXCEEDED FOR CADMIUM IN THE ADIT DISCHARGE. A PROTION OF THE DISCHARGE FLOWS OVER AND THROUGH WASTE ROCK TO A SETTLING POND PRIOR TO DISCHARGING INTO ELKHORN CREEK. THERE ARE TWO SEEPS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SITE. OBSERVED RELEASES TO ELKHORN CREEK WERE DOCUMENTED FOR COPPER AND ZINC.
