Comment (Deposit): ORE FROM THIS AND SEVERAL OTHER NEARBY SILVER MINES WERE PROCESSED IN THE COLUMBIA MILL, BUILT IN 1870. SAMPLE IRS- 271 WAS FROM THIS SITE, WHICH BURNT IN 1875. THE MINERAL SURVEY PLOTS ABOUT 300 OR 400 FT. TOO FAR WEST. THE MAIN WORKINGS (A CAVED SHAFT) ARE THE MAIN INDICATOR THAT THERE MAY BE SOME LOCATIONAL PROBLEMS WITH RESPECT TO THE ACTUAL LOCATION OF THE WORKINGS.
