Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Reserve-Resource): MATRIX ONE, COLUMN ONE; GRADES AND TONNAGES DEVELOPED IN HOUSE IN 1975 FROM RESERVE ESTIMATES MADE BY NICHOLS, R.L. OF THE USGS. MATRIX GRADES AND TONNAGES ARE NON- CUMULATIVE TO THE LEFT. MATRIX ONE, COLUMN TWO; IS ALSO FROM NICHOLS. THE TONNAGE AND GRADE HAS BEEN MULTIPLIED BY THE APPROPRIATE CONVERSIONS TO ACCOUNT FOR METRIC TONNES AND MOISTURE CONTENT. THE ALUMINA AND IRON ANALYSIS ARE BASED ON RECOVER- ABLE AL203 AND FE203. TI02, SI02, AND LOI ANALYSIS ARE ESTIMATES.
Comment (Deposit): DEPOSIT LIFE IS 46 YEARS AT A PRODUCTION RATE OF 2029000 TONNES PER YEAR. THE MILL CAPACITY CAN BE INCREASED ; OR ANOTHER MILL CAN BE ADDED SUBSEQUENTLY OR CONCURRENTLY AND OPERATED FOR 21 YEARS IN ADDITION TO THE CURRENT MILL; WHICH WOULD OPERATE FOR 25 YEARS. THERE ARE THREE SETS OF COSTS; ORIGINAL 1975 COSTS, COSTS UPDATED FROM 1975 TO 1979, AND COMPLETELY RECOSTED 1979 COSTS.
