Comments

Comment (Ownership): "ANDESITE" IS ACTUALLY A META-ANDESITE BRECCIA, AND IS THE HOST ROCK FOR THE VEIN, WHICH IS BANDED QUARTZ. THE TUFF IS ALSO A HOST ROCK FOR THE VEIN. MAGMA GOLD LTD. IS A 100% WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF MAGMA COPPER COMPANY.

Comment (Geology): LENGTH IS AT LEAST 914 M (3000 FT), AND THICKNESS IS AT LEAST 244 M (800 FT). THE MCCABE DEPOSIT IS LOCATED IN A PRECAMBRIAN VOLCANIC SEQUENCE CONSISTING LARGELY OF ANDESITE, ANDESITIC TUFFS, AND THE SPUD MOUNTAIN BRECCIA. THE DEPOSIT CONSISTS OF 3 VEIN SYSTEMS OF WHICH THE 2 MAJOR VEINS STRIKE IN A N55-65(DEGREES)E & N35-40(DEGREES)E DIRECTION AND DIP 75-80 DEGREES SE. THE AVERAGE VEIN THICKNESS IS 1.22 M WITH A MINIMUM THICKNESS OF 1 METER. THE GOLD AND SILVER OCCUR IN THE COPPER & IRON SULFIDES AND IN THE QUARTZ-SERICITE BRECCIA. "ANDESITE" IS ACTUALLY A META-ANDESITE BRECCIA, AND IS THE HOST ROCK FOR THE VEIN, WHICH IS BANDED QUARTZ. THE TUFF IS ALSO A HOST ROCK FOR THE VEIN.

Comment (Economic Factors): THE MINE EMPLOYS A SHRINKAGE STOPE METHOD. THE MINE IS ACCESSED BY THE MAIN 6.7-M-DIAM. SHAFT (CALLED THE SOONER SHAFT). THE 503-M DEEP PRODUCTION-SERVICE SHAFT SERVICES 4 MAIN WORKING LEVELS: 833-FT, 1,050-FT, 1,250-FT, AND 1,450-FT LEVELS. THE 833-LEVEL IS BEING FULLY DEVELOPED BY CONTRACTOR. THE 3 UPPER LEVELS MUCK THE ORE USING EIMCO MODELS 12B & 22 LOADERS, AND THE LOWEST LEVEL (1,450-FT) USES A RUBBER-TIRE LHD.
