Comments

Comment (Location): Political location in record is Powell county. However, lat/long plot 125m inside adjacent Granite county. Original coordinates are lat/long NAD27 46-49-17N 113-15-22W (46.8214 -113.2561); UTM N5187568 E327904 Z12N; PLSS Meridian- Montana Principal, 012 N, 013 W, Sect 05, Sect_fract C SE. The PLSS and UTM coordinates agree with the old lat/long. Geonames shows almost identical lat/long coordinates falling just inside Powell county using NAD83 datum. Recalculating lat/long using NAD83 datum moves point very close to location on topo sheet. So the Geonames location was used. Geonames shows 2 other locations for this deposit in Granite county so Granite county was added to the record. The PLSS section_fraction information was deleted and UTM was cleared.
