Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Location): THE GOLDEN EAGLE MINE (PATENTED), A PAST PRODUCER, IS LOCATED IN THE SE/4 SEC. 19, T. 44 N., R. 53 E. IN MAGGIE GULCH. IT IS LIKELY THAT THE NEARBY GRAVELS WERE PROCESSED FOR GOLD. THE GOLDEN EAGLE MINE OR GOLDEN EAGLE AND THE GOLDEN EAGLE ARE THE ONLY TWO PRODUCERS KNOWN IN THIS VICINITY ACCORDING TO U.S. BUR. MINES RECORDS. THE LOWER PART OF MAGGIE GULCH PASSES THROUGH SECS. 29 AND 30. FIELD CHECKS IN 1989 DID NOT RESULT IN A PRECISE LOCATION OF THIS SITE.
