Comment (Workings): The barite mine comprised at least 4 open pits, and was active in 1980, employing 15 persons.
Comment (Development): Originally, the Rossi Barite Mine was one of the two largest barite producers in the U.S., developed by at least 4 major pits. In 1997: Drill holes defined 2.5 Mtof gold-bearing ore grading 0.437 opt.
