Mine Info
Satelite View
MRDS mine locations are often very general, and in some cases are incorrect. Some mine remains have been covered or removed by modern industrial activity or by development of things like housing. The satellite view offers a quick glimpse as to whether the MRDS location corresponds to visible mine remains.

Comments
Comment (Geology): Uranium and vanadium mineralization occurs in lenses of limonitic, carbonaceous sandstone and arkose in the Farisita Conglomerate. Nelson-Moore and others (1978) report that the unit has good potential to host additional significant uranium deposits.
Comment (Commodity): No uranium minerals noted when prospect was examined in 1966, but radioactivity levels were 0.12 to 0.3 mr/per hour.
Comment (Location): Located about six miles northwest of the town of Gardner.
