ELEV AND LAT-LONG GIVEN ARE FOR POSSIBLE WORKINGS (IDENTIFIED FROM AIRPHOTOS) ON FAULT CROSSING LAKE FORK ABOUT 0.4 MILE ABOVE SILVER CREEK, 2.1 MILES ESE OF WHITECROSS AND 1.9 MILES NE OF WHITECROSS MTN (UNSURVEYED SECTION). ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1977

Comment (Deposit): VEIN LIES IN FAULT TRENDING GENERALLY N 70 E AND CUTTING SUNSHINE PEAK TUFF AND MEGABRECCIA WITHIN LAKE CITY CALDERA. WOOLSEY (1907) OBSERVED ORE TO OCCUR IN SMALL, NORTH-PITCHING SHOOTS, BEING CONSIDERABLY BROKEN, CRUSHED, AND MIXED WITH GOUGE. ORE REPORTEDLY OCCUPIED INTERSTICES OF OLDER FISSURE BRECCIA AND SLIGHTLY IMPREGNATED WALLS. SILIFICATION AND PYRITIZATION EXTENDED INTO WALLROCKS FOR CONSIDERABLE DISTANCE.

Comment (Workings): 200-FT TUNNEL INTERSECTING 100-FT-LONG INCLINED SHAFT; SECOND SHAFT OF UNKNOWN EXTENT EAST OF TUNNEL.
