Comment (Workings): 750 FT OF DRIFTS, CORSSCUTS AND STOPES FOLLOW A FAULT. POCKETS OF RICH CINNABAR ORE HAVE BEEN ENCOUNTERED ABOVE THE MAIN DRIFT BY MEANS OF ABOUT 120 FT OF STOPING.

Comment (Production): PROPERTY WORKED BY LESSORS IN 1942; PRODUCTION UNKNOWN. PRODUCTION FIGURES INCLUDE BETTY MINE

Comment (Geology): THE COUNTRY ROCKS AREBROKEN IRON-STAINED CHERT AND CHERT CONGLOMERATE THAT STRIKE NE AND DIP 40 DEG SW. THE BEDDING PLANES ARE LOCALLY SHEARED AND CONTAIN GOUGEAND OCCASIONALLY CINNABAR.

Comment (Deposit): THE WORKINGS FOLLOW A FAULT THAT TRENDS NE AND DIPS ABOUT 70 DEGREES SE. POCKETSOF RICH CINNABAR ORE HAVE BEEN ENCOUNTERED IN EXPLORING ALONG THIS FAULT, ABOVE THE MAIN DRIFT. CINNABAR OCCURS IN BEDDING PLANES ADJACENT TO THE FAULT AND, MORE IMPORTANTLY, IN HIGH-GRADE CRYSTALLINE PODS ALONG THE FAULT. ABOUT 250 FT TO THE EAST, A SMALL ADIT AND STOPE EXPLORE QUARTERNARY GRAVELS CONTAINING SMALL CINNABAR NUGGETS CONCENTRATED ON CHERT BEDROCK.
