Comments

Comment (Deposit): 1-3 M WIDE ZONE.

Comment (Workings): BULLDOZER CUTS

Comment (Geology): THE BOXWORK MAY REPRESENT ORIGINAL PYRITE. THE TOURMALIZED ZONE IS LOCALLY CUT BY WHITE ALTERATION, POSSIBLY ALBITE. LOCAL BLEACHING OF THE ROCKS COULD BE DUE TO SUPERGENE ACID LEACHING. SIMILAR TOURMALINE OR TOURMALINE-MAGNETITE MINERALIZATION IS PRESENT ELSEWHERE ON PEAVINE PEAK. SPARSE MALACHITE IS PRESENT AT THIS LOCALITY; COPPER SULFIDES ARE PROBABLY PRESENT IN UNOXIDIZED ORE.

Comment (Deposit): SAMPLE #3318 IS SELECT LIMONITE, MAGNETITE, SCHORLITE AND MALACHITE FROM A DUMP & PIT.
