Comments

Comment (Location): INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1964)

Comment (Geology): THE HIGHER GRADE ORE IN THE DEPOSIT OCCURS IN STRANDS OF DIFFERENT SIZE SURROUNDED BY UNMINERALIZED LIMESTONE. NO SCHULTZE GRANITE ON GEOLOGIC MAP, BUT GRANITE REPORTED IN WORKINGS.

Comment (Development): THE AMERICAN MANGANESE OR NEW DOUGHBOY CONSISTS OF TWO CLAIMS, THE DUNKIRK AND KENTUCKY, WHICH ARE PART OF A LARGER GROUP OF 8 CLAIMS, THE DOUGHBOY, OWNED BY ANTON TROJANOVICH. THE CLAIMS WERE OPERATED IN THE EARLY 1940'S BY THE AMERICAN MANGANESE CO. (TROJANOVICH, PRESIDENT), IN THE LATE 1940'S BY COMSTOCK EXTENSION MINING CO. AND IN THE 1950'S BY GLOBE-MIAMI COPPER ZINC CORP.
