Comments

Comment (Ownership): "Feb. 7, 1955, Charles Christensen and John Christensen of Gillette, WY, entered into a Royalty and Surface Damage Agreement with said Price Exploration Company." (DMEA-3835, p. 258 of 448). On p. 63, the Docket clearly describes the surface rights are owned by the Christensens and the mineral rights were retained by the Federal Government.

Comment (Production): These claims have not produced, but $30,000 wroth of ore was removed from property to the north. (DMEA-3835, p. 49)

Comment (Ownership): A letter from Law offices Rowland & Rowland, Bartlesville, OK dated June 9, 1958 to DMEA Field Team, states: "After losing its entire capilatilzaion, Price Exploration Company went out of business on July 30, 1956, your office being currently advised of the transfer of the North Pumpkin Buttes property. Our files show the DMEA Termination Agreement effective August 1, 1956. The company has been defunct for two years [...]" (DMEA-3835, p. 108 of 448)

Comment (Identification): 25 unpatented claims. In 3 disntinct clusters. Utah 1-4 in T45N, R76W, sec. 35, SE4. In T45N, R75W, SEc. 29 contains Arizona 1, 3, 7, and less than half of Arizona 4 and 6. Sec. 28 contains the remainder of Arizona 4 and 6, Utah 5, 7, 8, and most of Colorado 7 in one contiguous block. Separately in Sc. 28 is Utah 10 amd Colorado 2(?). Also in Sec. 28 is Colorado 1, and parts of Colorado 8 and 5. Sec. 27 contains most of Colorado 5 and 4. Sec. 33 contains most of Utah 9, Colorado 3, Colorado 9, and parts of Utah 12 and 13. Utah 11, and the rest of Utah 12 and 13 are in Sec. 34. Interestingly, though clearly there are claims in Sec. 33, this is not listed in the land position in DMEA-3835.

Comment (Development): "There are no mining workings on the claims. There has been no previous drillon gon the claims by the U.S.G.S., AEC, or other agencies. The applicant has no knowledge of any drilling being comtemplated in the North Pumpkin Buttes area by the afore-mentioned agencies." (DMEA-3835, p. 33 of 448)
