Comment (Geology): AREA IS UNDERLAIN BY SERPENTINIZED HARZBURGINT OF JOSEPHINE OPHIOLITE, IN FAULT CONTACT WITH UPPER JURASSIC GALICE FORMATION. FAULT IS VERTICAL AND STRIKES ABOUT N20E. LATERITE IS REMNANT OF OLD UPLAND WEATHERED SURFACE.
