Comment (Workings): AT SINNAMON CUT THE GRAVEL WAS WASHED BY WATER VIA A DITCH FROM VIRGINIA CREEK. IN RANCHERIA GULCH A NUMBER OF SHAFTS SUNK TO DEPTHS OF 30-40' TO BEDROCK IN CENTER OF GULCH.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: THE SINNAMON CUT IN NW1/4 SEC. 29 IS 1700' LONG, 200' WIDE AND 75' DEEP; GOLD IS FROM LEDGES AND STRINGERS, AS THE GRAVEL IS FINE AND MORE OR LESS ANGULAR, WITH NO BOULDERS. IN RANCHERIA GULCH THE GRAVEL IS SAID TO RUN FROM 25? TO 80? PER CU. YD.
