Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: 4 TIN-BEARING IRON OXIDE BODIES FORMED AT CONTACT WITH GRANITE BY LIMESTONE REPLACEMENT AND OXIDATION OF ORE BODY. GRANITE IS EXPOSED ON SLOPES N. AND W. OF DEPOSITS, AND HAS EQUAL QUARTZ AND FELDSPAR CONTENT. WHITE, MASSIVE, FINE-GRAINED RECRYSTALLIZED LIMESTONE HAS INDISTINCT BEDDING, APPEARING TO DIP 35 TO 40 N.E. TWO FAULTS CUT THE AREA. ONE LARGE ORE BODY IS 150 FT. LONG, 15 TO 60 FT. WIDE, AND HANGING WALL DIPS 30 TO 35 N. ORE MATERIAL IS IRON OXIDES GRADING TO CLAYEY MATERIAL, SOME MAGNETITE AND JASPERY LIMONITE. VISIBLE CASSITERITE IS RARE. SECOND LARGEST BODY IS 50 FT. LONG, 2.5 FT. THICK, STRIKES N. 75 E. AND DIPS 30 N.W.
