Comment (Deposit): SPOTTY VEIN QUARTZ OCCURS ALONG A STEEP N10W SHEAR ZONE IN PROBABLE METAANDESITE OF THE SONOMA RANGE FM. THE VEIN QUARTZ IS WHITE (MILKY) AND CONTAINS (WHERE NOT OXIDIZED PYRITE AND ARSENOPYRITE (?) THE ARSENOPYRITE (?) IS COMMON ON ONE DUMP. THE VEIN IS PROBABLY LESS THAN 30 CM WIDE AND THE WALL ROCKS ARE LOCALLY BLEACHED NEAR THE VEIN.

Comment (Geology): THE ORES CONSIST OF GOLD WITH SOME AG AND PB IN NROW QUARTZ VEINS IN INTRUSIVE ROCK WHICH HAS INVADED THE ORDOVICIAN VALMY FORMATION.
