Comments

Comment (Location): ON SW SHORE PYRAMID LAKE

Comment (Workings): ORIGINALLY PROSPECTED IN 1920'S AS A AU-AG PROSPECT, WAS EXPLORED IN THE 1930'S AND AGAIN IN 1971-72 AS A MO-CU PROSPECT. OUTCROP AREA COVERS ONLY FEW HUNDRED SQUARE YARDS, IS SURROUNDED BY LAKE LAHONTAN SEDIMENTS. LARGER OUTCROP OF ALTERED QUARTZ MONZONITE PORPHYRY OCCURS TO SOUTHWEST, ON RIDGE ON EAST SIDE OF TOM ANDERSON CANYON.

Comment (Geology): QUARTZ MONZONITE PORPHYRY INTRUDES ASH FLOW TUFFS OF HARTFORD HILL RHYOLITE THIN OXIDE ZONE CAPS PRIMARY SULFIDES. ALTERATION AND MINERALIZATION PRESENT IN THE QUARTZ MONZONITE STOCK SUGGESTS THE POSSIBILITY OF A COMMERCIAL BODY OF MOLY ORE.
