Comments

Comment (Workings): HILL (1915, P 193-4) STATES THAT THE PLACER GOLD WAS PRESUMABLY DERIVED FROM AURIFEROUS PYRITE PRESENT IN A PYRITIZED, HYDROTHERMALLY ALTERED INTRUSIVE WHICH IS CUT BY THE RAVINE CONTAINING THE PLACER DEPOSITS. THE AREA WAS WORKED IN THE PERIOD 1871-81, AND AGAIN IN THE 1890'S (BONHAM, P 78)
