PRODUCTION CONTINUED HERE EVEN THROUGH THE LATE 1880'S WHEN MOST OTHER MINES IN THE DISTRICT SHUT DOWN. ORE WAS TREATED IN A MILL 1/2 MILE NORTH OF THE WORKINGS, ORIGINALLY EQUIPPED WITH 5 STAMPS, AND LATER WITH 10. RECORDS OF EARLY PRODUCTION (1860'S-1905) ARE FRAGMENTARY, BUT ESTIMATED TO HAVE BEEN ABOUT $500,000 WORTH.
