Comments

Comment (Deposit): THE ADIT LABELED "THIRD TERM MINE" ON THE TIMPIE MAP IS ACTUALLY THE PRINCIPAL ADIT FOR THE STANSBURY MINE. THE STANSBURY MINE AND THE THIRD TERM MINE ARE ON THE OPPOSING NORTH AND SOUTH SLOPES, RESPECTIVELY, OF A PROMINENT KNOB IN THE NE 1/4 SEC. 2, T4S, R7W (PROJ.). ; INFO.SRC : 3 FIELD OBSERV

Comment (Workings): A S75E, 83 FT. LONG ADIT INTERSECTS A 123 FT. DRIFT THAT IS IN THE MINERALIZED N-S BRECCIA ZONE AND INCLUDES 113 FT. OF CROSSCUTS AND A 38 DEGREE INCLINED OPEN STOPE THAT WAS USED FOR HAULAGE, EXTENDING BELOW THE 123 FT. DRIFT AN UNDETERMINED DISTANCE.

Comment (Geology): AN ASSAY FROM A SELECTED CHIP SAMPLE CARRIED 11.24 PERCENT ZINC, INDICATING, FROM THE APPEARANCE, THE PROBABLE PRESENCE OF SMITHSONITE.

Comment (Development): THE U.S. BUREAU OF MINES FIELD WORK (1980) WAS PART OF A MINERAL RESOURCES ERALVATION OF A RARE II AREA (04-757) IN THE STANSBURY MTNS. SECTION (GRANTSVILLE DIV.) OF THE WASATCH NATIONAL FOREST.
