Comments

Comment (Workings): IN 1982, BULLDOZER ROAD, RECENT DRILL HOLES, PROBABLY FOR URANIUM.

Comment (Commodity): HIGHEST RADIOACTIVE READINGS ASSOCIATED WITH VEINLETS; SMOKEY QUARTZ CRYSTALS.

Comment (Location): NEAR COALDALE COAL MINES ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1972

Comment (Deposit): NEARBY LIGNITE BEDS IN THE SEDIMENTARY ROCKS ARE NOT URANIFEROUS. SINTER APPEARS TO BE FROM PALEO-HOT SPRINGS. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV

Comment (Reserve-Resource): RESERVES CALCULATED TO A DEPTH OF 50 FEET

Comment (Development): 6 OR MORE ROTARY DRILL HOLES DRILLED, PROBABLY IN 1981, IN THE LOW RELIEF AREA SOUTH OF THE MAIN RADIOACTIVE LOCALITY ON THE LOW HILL.

Comment (Deposit): URANIUM IS IRREGULARLY DISSEMINATED IN SILICEOUS VEINLETS, IN A SILICEOUS BRECCIA PIPE, ALONG LIMONITE-STAINED JOINT SURFACES AND AS INCRUSTATIONS AND CAVITY FILLINGS. VEINLETS AND SMALL IRREGULAR PODS OF HIGHER GRADE URANIUM ROCK OUTCROP OF BROWN TO BLACK FE-MN OXIDE-BEARING SILICEOUS SINTER, 1M THICK AND 10 M LONG.

Comment (Geology): YELLOW URANIUM MINERAL OCCURS AS PARTIALLY FILLINGS IN HOLES ONCE OCCUPIED BY FELDSPARS (WHICH ARE GENERALLY ALTERED TO CLAY SMECTITE?; ALSO OCCURING AS FRACTURE COATINGS AND SOMETIMES AS THIN (1 MM) SELVAGES ALONG THE SILICEOUS VEINLETS. THE YELLOW MINERALS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR RADIOACTIVITY, BUT IS ACCOUNTED FOR BY HYPOGENE (4 VALENT) URANIUM MINERALS DISSEMINATED IN VEINLETS.
