Comment (Development): PROPERTY LOCATED BY M. L. JENSEN IN 1953 DURING REGIONAL MAGNETIC RECONNAISSANCE WORK FOR KENNECOTT COPPER CORPORATION. PROPERTY RESTAKED IN 1958 FOR PINNICLE EXPLORATION. FIRST DRILLING DONE IN 1959 TO TEST A STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY. PROPERTY JOINT VENTURED TO UTAH CONSTRUCTION AND MINING COMPANY IN 1961. PROPERTY QUIT CLAIMED TO UTAH CONSTRUCTION AND MINING COMPANY IN 1966. ADDITIONAL PATENTED CLAIMS NEAR THE UTAH MINE WERE PURCHASED FROM THE MORMON CHURCH. UTAH INTERNATIONAL BECAME OWNER IN 1966 AND OPERATED THE PROPERTY UNTIL 1985. IN 1985, NOBLE PEAK BECAME THE NEW OWNER AND CURRENTLY HOLDS THE PROPERTY.

Comment (Commodity): PRIMARY ORE MINERALS ARE PROBABLY SPHALERITE, GALENA, CHALCOPYRITE, AND MAGNETITE, SOME ORE IS OXIDIZED

Comment (Workings): NO SURFACE WORKINGS. THROUGH 1984 A TOTAL OF 49 DRILL HOLES WERE COMPLETED WITH A TOTAL FOOTAGE OF 55,223 FEET. 45,722 FEET CONSISTS OF CORE AND 9,501 OF ROTARY DRILLING. DRILL CORE KNOWN TO EXIST IN RENO, NEVADA, AS OF 1987.

Comment (Geology): THE DISTRICT AND NORTHERN FISH SPRINGS RANGE WERE MAPPED AT A SCALE OF 1"=200'. MINERALIZATION CORRELATES WITH STRONGER MAGNETIC ANOMALIES.

Comment (Deposit): DEPOSIT CONSISTS OF A CRUDELY ZONED SKARN-MANTO SYSTEM. SKARN MINERALIZATION ALONG A QUARTZ MONZONITE-LIMESTONE CONTACT IS STRONGLY ENRICHED IN ZINC, IRON, AND COPPER. PARTS OF CONTACT ENRICHED IN COPPER ONLY. ABOVE CONTACT, AS MUCH AS 4000 FEET, ARE REPLACEMENT DEPOSITS (MANTOS) OF LEAD-ZINC-SILVER ORE. SOME MANTOS ARE LOCALIZED ALONG FAULTS. ORE IS RICHEST IN ZONES WHERE FINGERS OF INTRUSION PENETRATE LIMESTONE-DOLOMITE HOST. TOP OF INTRUSION IS RELATIVELY FLAT IN ORIENTATION, AT AN ELEVATION OF ABOUT 2000 FT, EXCEPT FOR A CUPOLA LOCATED JUST WEST OF THE RANGE-FRONT.
