Comments

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: BOTH WALLS ARE SLATE; THIS CLAIM IS JUST NORTH OF WHERE THE SERPENTINE AND SLATE CONTACT TRENDS TOWARD THE WEST. AMPHIBOLITE SCHIST ALTERED FROM AN INTRUSIVE DIKE OCCURS AT THIS CONTACT. ORE ON CLAIM IS FROM QUARTZ VEIN MATERIAL CONTAINING TALC, MAGNESITE AND MARIPOSITE (?). FOOTWALL IS INTERSECTED BY NUMEROUS VEINLETTS FORMING A NETWORK FOR TWO FEET. THE HANGING WALL CONTAINS QUARTZ STRINGERS IN A 10 FT. THICK TALC SCHIST ZONE NEAR SURFACE AND THIS ORE WIDENS TO 135 FT. AT THE 500 FT. LEVEL.

Comment (Deposit): QUARTZ VEINLETTS IRREGULAR. AT SOUTH END OF CLAIM, LARGE QUARTZ BODY 18 INCHES TO 2 FT. THICK PROSPECTED TO INCLINED DEPTH OF 400 FT.

Comment (Workings): INCLINED SHAFT 920 FT. WITH 3000 FT OF DRIFTS AND CROSSCUTS AT SIX LEVELS TO PROSPECT FOOTWALL AT NORTH END OF CLAIM. SOUTH INCLINED SHAFT 400 FT. WITH SEVERAL ADITS, THE LONGEST BEING 800 FT.
