Comments

Comment (Location): LOCATION IS ACCURATE FOR THE SHAFT. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :1979

Comment (Deposit): THE ORE OCCURS IN FOUR VEINS THAT BEAR S 20 W AND DIP 80-85 W. THE MAIN SHAFT ON THE BOTTOM DOLLAR VEIN FOLLOWS A MINERALIZED SHEAR ZONE THAT RANGES FROM 8 TO 13 FEET IN WIDTH. AT A DEPTH OF 25 FEET, A VEIN OF HIGH GRADE ORE IS FOUND IN THE SHEAR ZONE WHICH CONTINUES TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SHAFT, VARYING IN WIDTH FROM 12 TO 38 INCHES.

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS CONSIST OF A 175-FT SHAFT THAT FOLLOWS THE VEIN ON A DIP OF 85 DEGREES WEST. ON THE 150-FOOT LEVEL IS A DRIFT 35 FEET NORTH AND 25 FEET SOUTH ON THE VEIN. THERE IS A 60-FT PIT 350 FEET SOUTH AND A 40-FT PIT 400 FEET NORTH OF THE SHAFT.

Comment (Geology): THIS IS THE ONLY MINE IN THE AREA THAT OCCURS IN ANDESITE RATHER THAN MONZONITE.

Comment (Deposit): Discovery Year: 1870'S
