Comment (Development): PROPERTY EXPLORED BY GETTY, PHELPS DODGE, WESTERN STRATEGIC MINERALS, AND OTHERS. MOST RECENT EXPLORATION BY FREEPORT IN 1987. WESTERN MINING BEGAN EXPLORATION PROGRAM IN 1989 (SPRING).

Comment (Workings): WORKINGS CONSIST OF THREE PITS NEAR THE CREST OF DOME HILL AND ONE PIT TO THE NORTHWEST. NUMEROUS HOLES HAVE BEEN DRILLED AT DOME HILL AND THE AREA TO THE NORTH.

Comment (Geology): GRANODIORITE IS EXPOSED ABOUT 1 MILE SE OF DOME HILL AND IS THE NEAREST KNOWN INTRUSIVE ROCK.

Comment (Deposit): ORE IS PRESENT AS VEIN, STOCKWORK, AND REPLACEMENT OCCURRENCES. HOST QUARTZITE IS SILICIFIED AND CONTAINS LOCAL PATCHES OF FINE-GRAINED, DISSEMINATED SULFIDE REPLACEMENT. HOST IS ALSO CUT BY NUMEROUS VEINS AND STOCKWORK VEINLETS OF OF QUARTZ. MOST VEIN QUARTZ IS FINE GRAINED, BUT LOCAL COARSE COCKSCOMB QUARTZ IS PRESENT. MOST ORE APPEARS TO BE THE OXIDE REMAINS OF PRIMARY SULFIDES. PRIMARY SULFIDES ARE TETRAHEDRITE-TENNANTITE, GALENA, CHALCOPYRITE, AND PYRITE.
