Comments

Comment (Location): .5 MILE EAST OF MUD LAKE; LOCATION IS IN QUESTION.

Comment (Development): PIT (PROBABLY A SHAFT AT ONE TIME).

Comment (Deposit): QUARTZ VEIN

Comment (Workings): 5 FT BY 5 FT BY 4 FT DEEP PIT.

Comment (Geology): CARBONACEOUS SCHIST LACED WITH LIMONITE-STAINED QTZ STRINGERS. THE SCHIST IS FAULT CONTACT WITH QTZITE. ABOUT 2 FT SOUTH OF THIS CONTACT IS A FAULT MINERALIZED WITH QTZ (ABOUT 4 IN THICK). A POLISHED SECTION OF THE QUARTZ SHOWS THAT IT AND SCATTERED SUBHEDRAL CRYSTALS OF ARSENOPYRITE WERE DEPOSITED FIRST; LATER BOULANGERITE WAS INTRODUCED, REPLACING THE EARLIER MINERALS ALONG FRACTURES.
