Comment (Workings): 167' VERTICAL SHAFT; TUNNEL; RAISES. GRAVEL IS MINED BY BREAST STOPING ACROSS THE FULL WIDTH OF THE PAYSTREAK.

Comment (Geology): GEOL.DESC: THE PAY GRAVEL IS LARGELY MADE UP OF GRANITE WITH A SMALL PROPORTION OF QUARTZ, QUARTZITE, JASPER, AND SLATE; GRAVEL IS HEAVY, WELL-ROUNDED, AND CONTAINS MANY LARGE BOULDERS. THE GOLD IS COARSE AND AVERAGES 895 FINE; THE BALANCE IS ALMOST ENTIRELY SILVER. THE RECOVERED GOLD AVERAGES ABOUT 0.17 OZ., OR $5.95 PER TON OF GRAVEL WASHED.
