Comment: 480 ACRES OF US LEASE HELD BY MONTANA PHOSPHATE PRODUCTS CO. BEDDS ON BOTH LIMBS OF THE DOUGLAS CREEK ANTICLINE. WEST LIMB: RETORT MEMBER; STRIKES N10W DIPS 85SW, BED IS 1.4 FT THICK AT 34% P205, 4.35 FT THICK AT 27.1% P205 AND 8.85 FT THICK AT 21.5% P205. LIMB EXPLORED BY 243 FT LING ADIT. EAST LIMB: RETORT MEMBER: STRIKES W-S DIPS 63NW; BED IS 3.55 FT THICK AT 31.3% P205, 7.7 FT THICK AT 24.4% P205 LIMB EXPLORED BY 130 FT LONG ADIT. HANGING AND FOOTWALLS ARE QUARTZITE. THICKNESS AND GRADE AND MINING CONDITIONS ARE SIMILAR TO THOSE OF THE DOUGLASS CREEK MINE. ADITS DRIVEN FROM NEAR CREEK LEVEL WOULD PROVIDE BACKS OF 700 FT ON THE EAST LIMB AND 300 FT ON THE WEST LIMB. INFERRED TONNAGE IN BOTH LIMBS IS 8350000 ST OF FERTILIZER GRADE(5000 FT LONG, 30 INCHS WIDE, AND 300-700 FT DEEP) SAMPLE LOT 1399 FROM USGS PROF. PAPER 313-F IS LOCATED HERE. |
