Comment (Deposit): SHATTERED RAWLEY ANDESITE IS INTRUDED BY RHYOLITE AND QUARTZ LATITE DIKES. FISSURED ZONE IS SERIES OF PARALLEL QUARTZ-PYROLUSITE VEINS. PYROLUSITE OCCURS IN MASSIVE FORM, AS SHEARED GROUPS OF PRISMS, AND AS STRIATED CRYSTALS, POSSIBLY A REPLACEMENT AFTER MANGANITE. ALTHO MOST OF THE OXIDES ARE INTIMATELY INTERGROWN WITH QUARTZ, SOME NARROW, PRACTICALLY CLEAN SHOOTS HAVE BEEN FOUND.
