Comment (Production): Ore tonnage and recovered metals reported by Mitchell and Bennett (1983) from USBM production data; ore grades calculated from USBM data and Stewart Mining Co. annual reports.

Comment (Geology): Host rocks variously identified as Burke Formation and St. Regis Formation quartzite. Early workers apparently did not recognize that stratigraphy was overturned. Rocks traditionally assigned to the St. Regis-Revett transition zone are now recognized as upper Revett Formation.

Comment (Location): 2000 FT W OF THE CALEDONIA

Comment (Workings): MINE OPENED IN 1904 BY A 600 - FT. TUNNEL AND SECOND TUNNEL 250 FT BELOW THESE WORKINGS

Comment (Orebody): Orebody pinched out 213 meters below main adit level. Siderite and barite increase in abundance with depth as lead-silver grades increase.
