Comments

Comment (Location): NEAR BULLION PARKS, W OF CONTINENTAL DIVIDE. ; INFO FROM LAND.ST :(1954)

Comment (Workings): VERTICAL SHAFT, NOW CAVED, RELATIVELY DEEP AS INDICATED BY THE SIZE OF THE DUMP.

Comment (Location): Political location in record is Powell county. However, original lat/long plots 70 m inside adjacent Lewis and Clark county, east of the continental divide. Original coordinates were: lat/long NAD27 46-27-45N 112-18-20W (46.4625 -112.30556); UTM N E Z; PLSS line# 1: Meridian- Montana Principal, TWNSHP 008N, RNG 006W, Sect 12, Sect_fract NW OF NW. The original lat/long agrees with the PLSS coordinates only if the lat/long is recalculated using the WGS84 datum. Geonames locates the Bullion Mine very close to the mine shaft symbol on the USGS topo sheet due west of Bullion Parks. This is consistent with the verbal description NEAR BULLION PARKS, W OF CONTINENTAL DIVIDE, so the lat/long was changed to the Geonames coordinates NAD83 46.461598 -112.30625. The PLSS coordinates were cleared.
